What is YPAI?

YPAI – Young Professional Attraction Index is an annual survey conducted by Academic Work to identify what attracts early career professionals – typically students, recent graduates, and individuals with up to five years of work experience – to specific companies and industries.

The purpose of YPAI is to provide companies with insights into:

  • Which factors matter most to early career professionals when choosing an employer
  • How companies are perceived as employers by the target group
  • How companies can strengthen their employer brand and attract the right talent

The survey is carried out by Academic Work in collaboration with the global research agency Kantar, ensuring methodological validity and high-quality data collection.

This year marks the 10th time Academic Work Denmark is conducting the YPAI survey. The same survey is also carried out across all other Academic Work countries – Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, and Switzerland – making it possible to compare data and insights across borders. Companies can thus gain access to both national and international perspectives on how they are perceived as employers – and what young professionals are looking for, locally and globally.
